Granddad goes to the Hospital

The second day of the new year wasn't so great either!  My dad has been having some shortness of breath & chest pain, but after seeing his doctor,  & having some tests, everything looked okay.  But he continued to have pain on exertion, went to the doctor on Monday and was scheduled for a heart catherization on Friday.  After finding 3 major arteries 95% clogged and one 70%, they scheduled Dad for bypass surgery that afternoon.  Luckily they had an opening (they weren't going to let him go home anyway), and he was operated on within a few hours.  He's doing as good as can be expected for just having surgery yesterday!  He's up in a chair and only has pain when he breathes deeply.  He's very groggy, but was able to carry on a conversation with me this afternoon while I was there.  Sure hope you're out of the hospital soon, Dad, and reading the blog comfortably in your own house and your own chair!  Everyone's praying for a smooth recovery, even Ryleigh!
